Is WellSnap really free?
Yes. There is no paid version, no trial and no ads, and every feature is available to everyone. The source code is open under the GNU GPL 3.0, so anyone can check what the app does.
Does WellSnap upload my screenshots?
No. There is no cloud, no account and no share link. A screenshot goes to your clipboard or to a file on your computer, and from there you paste it wherever you want.
How do I paste several screenshots into Telegram at once?
Take the first screenshot and press Shift+Enter instead of copying it. Take the next ones the same way, then click Copy all in the strip and press Ctrl+V in Telegram: they arrive as one album. To send the comments as the album caption, use paste with text, Win+Alt+V.
Print Screen opens Snipping Tool instead of WellSnap. What do I do?
Open WellSnap Settings, Shortcuts, and click Give Print Screen to WellSnap. It turns off the Windows option that hands the key to Snipping Tool. The Restore button brings the old setting back.
Does it work on a Mac?
WellSnap supports macOS 14 Sonoma and later. The default shortcut there is ⇧⌘2, because ⇧⌘3, ⇧⌘4 and ⇧⌘5 belong to macOS. WellSnap needs the Screen Recording permission, and paste with text also needs Accessibility.
Which languages does the app speak?
English and Russian. WellSnap follows your system language, and you can switch it in Settings, General.
